This statement explains how Lexie’s Desk (“we”, “us”), operated by Lexie Keane, collects and handles your personal information when you buy books through this website. We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number, together with details of the books you order. We keep a record of your orders so we can fulfil and, if needed, follow up on them.
Payment information
Payments are processed securely by Square. Your card details are entered on Square’s checkout and are handled by Square — we do not see or store your full card number. Square’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use your information to process and post your order, to contact you about your order, and — only if you have opted in — to occasionally let you know about new releases. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to complete your purchase: with Square to take payment, and with Australia Post or a courier to deliver your order. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Storage and security
Your information is stored on our website’s server and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order records for as long as needed for our records and to meet any legal obligations.
Cookies
This site uses only a basic session cookie that supports the site’s back‑office login. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
