Meandarra in The News

This compilation of newspaper articles aims to bring to life some of the everyday happenings of the Meandarra town and district from the 1800s to 1955. James Fitzgerald launched his book 'From the years of the Upper Moonie' in 1981. At his book launch he said "There are gaps now that never will be filled; old timers passing on, others moving away and their successors sometimes knowing not or caring for the historical record. Even in libraries information is all too meagre". This book was the author's first attempt to capture the history of this well-loved town and district and the launching pad for the next book 'Meandarra Memories'.
